September 3, 1957 - September 19, 2023

Steven Robert Jensen loving husband, caring father and devoted grandfather returned to his father in heaven on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Clinton Ward Church (297 NW 40th Rd Clinton, Missouri) between 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. A short service will take place at 1:30 PM. Inurnment will be in Wellsville, Utah after the Celebration of Life there with the family.

He was born to Robert Lee and Cheryl Lee Jensen in Logan, Utah on September 3, 1957.

Steven served a mission to Independence, Missouri where he served faithfully. He then returned home to marry the loving soulmate of his life Sheila Ann Maughan and was blessed with 44 amazing years together. They were sealed in the Logan Utah Temple for time and all eternity. They have loved and cherished each other these many years together.

Steven was a caring father to his two sons and daughter, Jeremiah Steven, Joshua Lee, and Kellie Ann. He was a proud grandfather of three granddaughters, Maddisyn Rose, Vivy Ann, and Angel Ann. His granddaughters have brought sparkle to his life. His sacrifice and love for his family was profound and constant. His love of fishing and the outdoors was passed on to his family and made they many great memories.

He was a member of the American Mountain Men Association and held various positions within that organization. His skills that he learned were passed on to his family. Steven loved to fish, thanks to his wife who taught him. He had a thirst to learn. Steven would exhaust any subject that he took an interest in.

Steven had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was a man of great faith. He held steadfast to his beliefs and would teach any who would listen. His unwavering devotion in his marriage was an example to all who knew him and was a testimony to his beliefs.

He will be missed and loved by all those he has left behind. His spirit will be felt strongly by those he shared his love with.

Survivors include his sweetheart and wife, Sheila; and his children, Jeremiah Steven Jensen, Joshua Lee Jensen and Kellie Ann Jensen; his granddaughters, Maddisyn Rose and Vivy Ann; his parents Robert and Cheryl Jensen; two brothers Val Dee Jensen and Lee Bowen Jensen (Debbie), and one sister Dee Ann Smith.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, a daughter-in-law Melanie, and his granddaughter Angel Ann.

Steven’s love will endure.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
