Lori Parker Lawrence, age 65, passed away in her home on September 3, 2023, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on June 7, 1958, she was the fourth of five children born to George A. and RaNee (Ballard) Parker. She had a wonderful childhood growing up in Logan, Utah. She graduated from Logan High School in 1976, where she was a straight-A student and a member of the Hi-Los drill team.

She graduated from Utah State University with honors in 1978 with an associate's degree in secretarial science. She was an Aggiette, the dance company at USU, and performed in many sporting half-time events for the University.

In 1981 she graduated from Intermountain College of Court Reporting. She worked in the profession of court reporting for 38 years.

She married the love of her life, Clay Michael Lawrence, October 19, 1984. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and were happily married for 39 years and raised five children together: Eric Lawrence, Marissa (Zachary) Allred, Gage (Emily) Lawrence, Quinn (Annika) Lawrence, and Alex Lawrence. Her children brought her immense joy throughout her life, as well as her seven grandchildren.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed annual vacations every year with as many of her children who could come.

Lori was always an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings in Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society. She had an unwavering testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and was grateful for his atonement in her life.

Lori worked as an ordinance worker for many years at the Jordan River Temple. About ten years ago, Lori felt very strongly that she needed to do temple work for her kindred dead. She took a class to learn a little about Family Search, and away she went. She spent time almost daily either searching out or doing temple work for hundreds of those on the other side of the veil. She always said, "If these people feel about their family the same way I feel about my family, then I have no choice but to give them the opportunity to be united with family."

She loved going to the temple with her husband, her sister, and her children. Lori will be remembered for her unmatched love and devotion to family and Church, her intense work ethic, her can-do attitude, her uncanny ability to make everyone around her better, her courage (Michael says Lori is the most courageous person he's ever met), and her intense resolve to keep her covenants.

We will miss her but are comforted in knowing the great plan of our Heavenly Father and that this life is a small dot on a never- ending expanse of time. Lori is survived by her mother, husband, children, grandchildren (Audrie, Harrison, Lane, Quincy, Jett, Henry, and Sophie), brothers and sisters: Susan (Brad) Beutler, Nancy(George) Winder, Bruce(Janet) Parker, and Brian (Susan) Parker.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the LDS chapel at 5980 South 1300 West, Taylorsville, Utah, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing before beginning at 10 a.m.
